WHAT IS NATUR BAKER’S BLEND MADE FROM?

Natur Baker’s Blend is made from natural ingredients commonly found in fruits and vegetables. The combination of these slowly digested, natural sweeteners provides the fresh, sweet taste of sugar with only 40% of the calories and a low glycemic index. These ingredients also make Natur Baker’s Blend look like sugar, mix into hot and cold beverages just like sugar, and bake in your favorite sweet treats the same way as sugar.

WHAT INGREDIENTS ARE IN NATUR BAKER’S BLEND?

Dried cane sugar is produced from sugar cane. Erythritol is part of a group of sweeteners approved by the FDA called polyols that provide a clean, natural, sweet taste with far less calories than sugar. Isomaltulose is a naturally-occurring sugar made of glucose and fructose that is digested very slowly and has a very low glycemic index. Oligofructose is plant storage carbohydrate that is incompletely digested just like fiber, and provides fewer calories than sugar.

CAN PEOPLE WITH DIABETES USE NATUR BAKER’S BLEND?

Yes! Natur Baker’s Blend has a low glycemic index, which means it won’t raise blood sugar levels the way sugar does. It also contains 40% fewer calories than sugar, which can help with weight control essential to good diabetes management.

HOW DOES NATUR BAKER’S BLEND COMPARE WITH SPLENDA®?

Splenda® is made from a chemical process that changes the molecular structure of sugar so that it is not absorbed by the body. Natur Baker’s Blend does not involve chemicals, and is made from natural ingredients commonly found in fruits and vegetables.

WHY ISN’T NATUR BAKER’S BLEND CALORIE-FREE?

Because it’s made from natural ingredients and not manufactured from chemicals, Natur Baker’s Blend contains 40% fewer calories than sugar. Sugar substitutes with zero calories do not provide the same clean, fresh, chemical-free taste that you enjoy with Natur Baker’s Blend sweetener.

CAN I USE NATUR BAKER’S BLEND FOR BAKING?

Yes! Because it’s made from sweeteners found in fruit and vegetables, and dried cane sugar, Natur Baker’s Blend looks, measures, and bakes just like regular sugar in your favorite recipes including cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and other sweet treats.

WHY IS NATUR BAKER’S BLEND OFF-WHITE?
The dried cane sugar in Natur Baker’s Blend give it a slight off-white color. That’s because it’s less processed than table sugar and contains some of the natural molasses present in sugar cane. You don’t notice any difference in color when you mix Natur Baker’s Blend into beverages, or bake it into favorite recipes.

WHAT IS THE GLYCEMIC INDEX?

The glycemic index is a way to rank the effect of carbohydrates on our blood sugar levels.  Foods with a high glycemic index raise blood sugar levels faster and higher than foods with a low glycemic index. Sugar’s glycemic index is 58, while Natur Baker’s Blend glycemic index is 34, similar to a raw apple.
